Indian Army conducts free medical and dental camp at Lajum Pather village

Doomdooma: Kakopathar Army camp of Rupai Battalion under the aegis of DAO division of the Indian Army, operating in Tinsukia district organized a free medical and dental camp in Lajum Pather village on 8 Jan 2017.

Indian Army along with a team of doctors and pharmacists attended more than 522 people of Lajum Pather village and neighboring villages.

Free medical consultation and medicines were provided. Lajum Pather a remote village is underdeveloped and the villages face tough times to avail proper health care facilities.

Senior citizens, ladies and children took the best advantage of medical camp and appreciated the efforts put in by Army.

 Army has been undertaking many such activities and projects like awareness campaign, training the youths to join Army, provisioning of bridges and culverts to develop good will among local and instill confidence in Indian Army.

All efforts to improve social well being of the villagers to include infrastructure development and coordination with civil administration to mitigate public grievances will also be undertaking by Army in future.
