Demanded White Paper on demonetization from Modi Government

In a major programme of Congress party today here at the main market, Gandhi Chowk Rostrum of centurion town Pasighat which was being attended by who and who of state Congress including Rajya Sabha MP cum AICC Coordinator, i/c Arunachal Pradesh Ranee Narah from Assam, the congress organized a Jan-Vedna Panchayat against demonetization.
Speaking about Jan-Vedna Sammelan and its objective, APCC President, Padi Richo, said that, the Congress party wants a ‘white paper’ from Modi-led BJP Government to expose the truth behind demonetization. While, Ranee Narah exhorted that, in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in which around 70% of total populations are without bank account, how come a cashless transaction is possible? She also said that, even in the developed countries like USA, Britain and Germany cashless transactions hasn’t been achieved yet cent-percent, where 50% transactions are still done through cash. Laying emphasis on strengthening of congress from Block level, Narah directed the state congress to form Block Level Implementation Committee against demonetization in all assembly constituencies.
While, NabamTuki, MLA & former Chief Minister categorically pointed out the impact of demonetization wherein the most sufferers are weaker section of the society. He also made it clear that State like Arunachal Pradesh do not have banking and postal services as on date to cope with the present Central Govt. policy. He asked Narendra Modi led Central Government to intensify the development of creating banking & postal services including ATMs and installation of Swipe Machines in the shops to this remotest area before such draconian policy are implemented instead. He demanded for relief to all the deceased families, due to which more than 150 people have lost their lives during demonetization period all across the country. On the part of Bosiram Siram, former Minister Education, he reminded the people of Pasighat that, the whatever developments like CC Road, Stadium, Arunachal State University etc the people of the Pasighat are witnessing today were also brought by Congress government only which are being implemented today. He appealed people not to go by false and hollow promises of leader who can’t bring development. While Ninong Ering, MP Lok Sabha also put light on the negative impact of demonetization.
Among others, former minister, Tako Dabi, ex-MLA, JK Panggeng, Rajen Nani, General Secretary, APCC I/c East Siang District also spoke on the occasion. Veteran politician Dabi termed the cashless transaction effort of the central government without any ground work as making common people poorer.
Earlier, the programme started with Vande Mataram by Arunachal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal followed by welcome speech by East Siang, DCC President, Takom Mize, and concluded with vote of thanks from Odang Moyong, Block President, 38th East Paisghat.
