Strongly condemning the media report of PPA and in particular the statement made by its President, Kahfa Bengia, the state BJP advised him to focus more on improving the quality of politics and in critiquing idea of government and governance.
'By responding to Kahfa Bengia’s uncharitable personal remarks, we don't want to dignify his words but unfortunately we have to do so since such 'loose comments' by a person who has never been in the party, forget understanding BJP’s culture, is a sad commentary on quality of politician and reflects the need to improve quality in politics of the state. Asserting that the BJP do not have the culture in which high command determines the state politics, Gao said, 'The allegation of Kahfa Bengia against Hon’ble Chief Minister Pema Khandu is a grossly irresponsible statement which has no grain of truth in it.'
On Tuesday, PPA while informing that Speaker’s office has lost the files on the merger of PPA with the BJP, its president, Kahfa Bengia stated accused the Chief Minister of snatching all these files from the Speaker for constructing and reconstructing the papers so that they may pass the test before the Speaker and the Courts.
The PPA has also termed Bharatiya Janata Party Government as Betrayers Janata Party that has took over the government.
PPA went on to accuse the Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Mechukha MLA Pasang Dorjee Sona as chief betrayers.
Today, the President of state BJP, Tapir Gao in an official press communiqué states “Being a senior politician of the state, Kahfa Bengia should not make unfounded personal remarks against the Chief Minister or for that matter against any other political leader to ventilate his frustrations,” Gao suggested that PPA and its leaders should play positive and constructive politics by studying and critiquing policies and programmes.
Meanwhile Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) while attacking both the parties involved in the row stated that APCC is not all surprised that PPA-BJP, who are the partner of NEDA, formed by BJP to make ‘Congress Mukt in North East’ are now fighting within themselves within a short span of its formation, which APCC categorically stated that NEDA will not last as it has been formed for purpose of Assam election and to destabilize the popular mandate Congress Govt. in Arunachal Pradesh.
“After BJP fulfilled their hidden agenda, they sidelined and cheated PPA. The PPA is not exceptional as they will betray the other NEDA partners in days to come. The character of BJP is well known to everyone that they are communal party and BJP’s lotus cannot bloom in North Eastern States”, stated APCC in an official press release ridiculing both the parties.
The congress committee has termed the allegation levelled by PPA of snatching official documents from Speaker, Legislative Assembly as unfortunate. Moreover, PPA, who is claiming the Kalikho Pul’s episode is a very serious issue and need to be handed over to CBI for independent enquiry, APCC added.
“APCC remind all those in BJP and PPA right from Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs, all former representatives and office bearers are prosperous by Indian National Congress party and their criticism to Congress party would be laughable by the people of the State and nation as a whole”, the congress party stated.
